SAMUEL WEEKS FINNIGAN
For me, movement has always been about the connection to both my inner self and to the world around me. My passion for movement has allowed me to explore how we can help our bodies to become more resilient, expressive, and to support us in our everyday life.
My exploration began with an interest in functional strength—understanding body movement in daily activities and how we can train the body to move more efficiently and with less strain. This knowledge and my deeper understanding of movement led me to Somatics, with its emphasis on the internal experience of movement
My path
This path led me to study the Feldenkrais Method, a transformative approach that uses gentle, mindful exercises to improve how we move. The Feldenkrais Method and other somatic practices are rooted in a tradition that sees movement as a holistic experience, one that connects the physical with the mental and emotional aspects of our lives.
In my coaching, I integrate these insights to help my clients not only build strength but also develop a deep awareness of their bodies. My goal is to help my clients to become more robust and innately organised in their movements.
My aim is to help my clients reconnect with their body, to discover new ways of moving, to feel stronger, healthier, and more empowered in their everyday life.
